Frame I Tilt/Turn Window

Use:

Tilt-turn windows are often used in multi-storey buildings or where external sun protection is installed. Frame I / Nation I (inward opening) and Frame IC / Nation IC (outward opening) have the same outer sash-frame height and can therefore be placed in the same elevation, without there being much visual difference. The turn function is used primarily in connection with cleaning the outside of the window, while the tilt function is used for daily ventilation and airing. The turn function can also meet all the building regulations' requirements for egress openings.

Function:

The tilt-turn window is an inward opening window with both bottom- and side-hung function. Both opening functions are controlled by a handle in the sash jamb. In the closed position, the handle faces vertically downwards and the tilt function is triggered by turning the handle 90 ° to the horizontal position. The turn function is triggered by turning the handle 180 ° to an upright vertical position. With tilt function, the upper edge of the sash moves approx. 14 cm inwards and gives a free opening of approx. 4 cm. For the tilt-turn window, key locking handles can advantageously be selected. This handle allows using the turn function - if the cylinder is unlocked, the key must still be activated to go from tilt to turn function.
